FARMINGTON – Three judges who have served in the county for many years have been named to the Davis County Ethics Review Committee.
They are Rodney Page, will serve a two-year term, and Arlin Hansen and Russell Bench, who will serve three years.
“They were all very willing to accept this and are well known, very reputable,” said County Personnel Director Mel Miles. “They are the cream team.”
“We need to have folks who can help with ethics issues,” said County Commissioner Louenda Downs. “These people have invested much and this is a way for them to help us continually.”
The ethics panel will review cases brought against the county by non-employees. An internal mechanism already exists to handle employee-related concerns.
The ethics panel creation follows passage of a law in the last legislative session mandating that ethics groups be formed.
Davis County was reportedly the first in the state to approve creation of such a panel in September.
