LAYTON — Layton Police have arrested a former Northridge High School teacher on sex abuse charges after she allegedly had sex with a 17-year-old student in 2003-2004.
Chaarie Jaramillo, 35, was arrested Tuesday on three counts of first-degree felony rape and three counts of second-degree felony forcible sex abuse, according to a Layton Police press release.
Jaramillo was a teacher at at the school, and as such held a special position of trust," with students Layton Police Lt. Shawn Horton said in the press release.
Police received information on the relationship in February 2012. The investigation is continuing. The victim's name has not been released.
