I was very sorry to read that Fresh Market will be closing to merge with Dick’s. I have enjoyed shopping at Fresh Market each week. It is an attractive store, bright and spacious, and always has many creative and appealing displays.

Their produce has always been the very best, and I will miss the fresh salsa and the great salads from the deli. The employees have been wonderful, and I hope all will be able to keep their jobs. It is sad to lose another supermarket.

Dick’s is a nice store, too, and the move to the new Centerville location has left a huge void, with no market beween Parrish Lane and 500 South in Bountiful.

There is a great deal of senior housing near the old location, and the loss of the market has caused a hardship for many, especially during the recent storms. I don’t know who owns the old Dick’s building, but another grocery store there would be very welcome. In the meantime, I would like to thank everyone who made Fresh Market such a nice store.
