’Twas on that icy Thursday last week, when I made the big mistake of starting out to visit my neighbors across the street.
After slipping and sliding, I reached the driveway next door, which was now a real ice skating rink, then down I went!
My left leg went south and the right one went north. It was impossible for me to get on my knees or stand.
After sitting there totally helpless for 20 minutes or so, I finally began to pray fervently for help. Then a miracle came!
Around the corner came a Bountiful city snowplow onto our quiet street. Angel John quickly came slipping and sliding to my rescue. He was in a short-sleeve shirt and canvas shoes. He brought a handful of salt and finally was able to help me to my feet and we inched our way to my front porch.
Just then my sweet husband finally drove into the driveway and said, “Good thing he found you first, ’cause I would have run into the house for the camera!”
Thanks to all the “Good Samaritans” out there, such as angel John. Thanks a thousand times John!
Be careful out there everyone!
Gratefully, Marilyn Goodrich,
