BOUNTIFUL  — The Bountiful Police Department has put a map up on its web page, bountfiulcitypd.com/2013/02/01/speed-limit-map, showing speed zones throughout the city.

The map will indicate areas where extra patrols will be present, according to the web page.

The map is meant  to make residents aware of speed limits. It also reminds motorists that any street not posted with a speed limit sign is 25 mph. It will be updated periodically to keep residents apprised of problem areas.

There was some confusion recently in the unincorporated Val Verda. The Davis County Commission voted to change the speed limit on one street and posted the speed on another street.
