1923-2013

Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away on February 17, 2013. Beverly was born January 16, 1923 in Salt Lake City to Ruth Braby and Erwin H. Standing. She attended Webster Elementary and Bryant Junior High. She sang with the East High A’Capella Choir and the Oratorio Society of Utah. She and her brother loved spending time each summer in Honeyville with her grandparents reading books and playing games with the neighbor kids.

Beverly met her husband, John Mathew Limburg at the “U” and they were married in November 1942 in the Salt Lake Temple. They built a home in Holladay in 1947 where they raised their 5 children. She, with her husband John, served as Mission President in the Netherlands from 1977 to 1980. They were called by the First Presidency to open the country of Suriname to missionary work in 1988. She held many church positions and loved serving in the Primary and the Jordan River Temple.

Beverly is survived by her children, Carol (daughter-in-law), Kathy (Ralph) Talbot, Nevin, Garth (Annette), Matt (Patty), her brother, Bud, 26 grandchildren and 55 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Steve and grandsons, Jeff and Wayne.

Many thanks to the loving and devoted care-givers at Heritage Place and Inspiration Hospice for their tender care of mother for 10 years.
