FARMINGTON — Charges have been filed against the teacher accused of bringing heroin to a Syracuse elementary school.
Claudia Reaney, 49, was charged last week with second-degree felony possession of heroin and a class A misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Reaney was arrested at Buffalo Point Elementary School on Jan. 31 after police allegedly found bags of heroin inside her car and heroin residue inside her purse. She also allegedly had drug paraphernalia with her.
She was placed on administrative leave from her teaching position, pending the outcome of her case.
She began teaching at West Point Elementary School in 2007 and moved to Buffalo Point Elementary in 2008.
