WOODS CROSS — The Woods Cross Wildcats baseball team will host a baseball dinner and silent auction on Saturday, March 2 at the high school starting at 6 p.m.
But it’s the highlight of the event that will hopefully bring more people into participating in this year’s event.
Mike Morgan, a former Major League Baseball player and World Series champion, will be a special guest speaker.
He will talk about his experiences and offer insights about his professional career in front of the team.
Morgan spent 25 years in Major League Baseball after being drafted out of high school in 1978.
He was a first-round selection.
Morgan would spend time with the Dodgers and Diamondbacks, among other teams.
Tickets for the event are $20 for an adult and $10 for children under 12 years old.
Tables for up to eight people are also available for $200.
