Nathan Dean Denning 1926-2009. Known as Dean to his family and friends was born on April 13, 1926 in Long Beach, CA to Nathan Jones Denning and Della Sant Denning. Dean, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away on March 25, 2009, surrounded by his loving wife and family. Dean married Luana Boyce on May 8, 1945, later divorced. He then met the love of his life, his “Angelâ” Karen Ashby and was married on June 16, 1972, later solemnized in the Manti Temple. Dean had a great love for his family and for his testimony of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Dean worked hard all of his life, he founded Kitchen Originals Inc, after retiring he was called to serve as an LDS Temple worker. Dean faced several health tribulations over the years, however his determination, wit, and the constant care and love from his beloved “earthly angelâ” Karen kept him going. Dean adored his wife Karen and is very blessed to have her as his eternal companion. Those who knew Dean knew he had a loving heart and will be remembered as the fun, smiling charitable man who always looked out for those in need. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife Karen, nine children, Michael, Marc (Betty), Lila Diane, Linda, Wayne (Julie), Richard (Camille), Joseph (Stephanie), David (Heather), and Scott (Kristi) and 36 grandchildren, as well as 30 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Aaron, sister Joanne; granddaughter Jennifer and great grandson Ryken. Funeral Services were held at 11 a.m. at the LDS Church located at 2150 South 650 East on Monday March 30. Viewing was held at Russon Brothers Mortuary 295 No. Main Bountiful on Sunday and at the Church prior to services. Interment in Bountiful City Cemetery.
