PEARCE, AZ — Blake Steed, beloved son, brother, Uncle and friend passed away peacefully of heart failure April, 7, 2013. He was 49 years of age. He was born in Salt Lake City November 19, 1963. He lived in Wood Cross and graduated from Woods Cross High School. After high school, he joined the United States Air Force. Later he attended ITT Technical College. After graduation from ITT he worked as a Field Technician & Consultant, travelling throughout the US serving his customers. Later he lived in Minneapolis, MN and worked at Ikon Corporation, then transferring with the company to Plano, Texas. After working in Texas for several years, he moved to Pearce, AZ.

He loved sports of all kinds. He also loved to fish and hunt. In high school he was on the golf team and won several trophies. He was a great golfer. He was on the Soccer team in high school which took State the year he graduated.

He is survived by his mother,LaVell Suzette Haney and Step-father James Haney, St. George; sister, Sherrie Flanary (Dee) North Salt Lake; three nieces Tiffany, Bountiful; Chelsea, Layton and Taylor, North Salt Lake and one nephew, Matthew Steed, White Bear Lake, MN.

Preceded in death by his father James Mondell Steed and brother Monte James Steed.

A private service will take place at a later date by the immediate family. Spreading of cremated remains will be in the mountains of his hometown. You will be deeply missed by all. We love you Son.

I used to hang out with Blake. I just did a search for him and I came across this. I cannot believe what I'm reading. You were a great friend Blake. You'll be missed. My condolences to the family. RIP my friend.....
