FARMINGTON — Farmington Canyon road is open at the intersection with the Francis Peak road and Skyline Drive, according to the U.S. Forest Service.
Due to snow and wet conditions, however, the Francis Peak road and Skyline Drive remain under a seasonal closure and gates will be locked until June 1, weather permitting, a forest service press release said.
Flood damage in the spring of 2011 caused the forest service to close the Farmington Canyon road for public safety and to prevent further damage.
Flood repair work was completed in early December of 2012 and the road was open for winter recreation use.
