CLEARFIELD — The British are coming ... to Clearfield.

Challenger Sports, the top-rated soccer company in the U.S. and Canada, has been invited to hold one of their highly regarded “British Soccer Camps” in Clearfield during the week of June 17.

The camp will be held at Fisher Park, located at 934 S. 1000 East in Clearfield and will run from Monday through Friday.

Each participant will be coached by a member of the Challenger’s team, consisting of some 1,100 British soccer coaches, who will fly in to the U.S. to work on these programs.

Challenger Sports will hold more than 3,500 camps this summer, and will coach up to 130,000 players between the ages of three and 19.

Challenger’s new “1,000 Touches” coaching syllabus provides an innovative daily regimen of foot skills, moves, juggling, tactical practices and daily tournament play. Challenger also weaves lessons on respect, responsibility, integrity, leadership and sportsmanship into the camper’s daily routine.

Registration is available online at challengersports.com. The cost of the event differs depending on age, and ranges from $94-$129. Price includes a jersey.

There is also a golden goal camp for ages nine to 16 that costs $42. It will be held Monday through Thursday from 1-3 p.m.

There will also be a camp held in Centerville for the Forza Futbol Club.

That camp will run from June 10-14, and costs range from $50 (golden goal camp) to $120.

Questions about the Clearfield camp are being taken at the Clearfield Aquatics Center, located at 825 S. State Street. Those interested may stop by or call 801-525-2641.
