BOUNTIFUL — For the first time in two decades, the Woods Cross boys track team is back on top. The team won the 4A state track championships this past weekend, edging out second-place Herriman High School by six points.

Davis High track teams swept the state 5A championships, with the boys’ team winning by 36 points and the girls’ team winning by 90.

In the individual and relay events, Davis High’s Shea Martinez and Woods Cross High’s Jacopo Spano both came home with four individual gold medals each, the highest of any local winner. For a complete list of state winners, see the May 23 issue of the Davis Clipper.
