May 15, 1976-June 5, 2013

Ryan S. Dryer was called home to our Heavenly Father on June 5, 2013 to run his next marathon. His kind, loving, and forgiving nature will be a fine example to everyone who was blessed to know him. Ryan was a highly skilled Nurse Anesthetist who brought much peace and comfort to the many patients he cared for. Ryan was a dedicated Husband and Father. Elizabeth and Lucas will remember the many times he played with them, taught them family values, and encouraged the love of learning.

Ryan Dryer was born on May 15, 1976 to Sondra S. Dryer and George L. Dryer. This blessed event took place in Mesa, Arizona and Ryan was immediately loved by his four brothers and sister. Ryan started his life as part of an Air Force family living at Williams AFB, Az. Ryan‘s youth was spent living in Germany, Nebraska and Bountiful. He graduated from Bountiful High School in 1994. It was there that he found two loves — his high school sweetheart, Mindy Harris, and cross-country running which led him to the challenge of Marathon running.

Ryan’s many youthful achievements include Eagle Scout, Bountiful A cappella Choir, and BHS cross-country team captain. Ryan loved the Lord. He was faithful to his Priesthood duties. He served a Spanish-Speaking LDS Mission to McAllen, TX. Upon his return, he married his high school sweetheart and eternal companion Mindy Harris in the Salt Lake Temple on December 12, 1997.

Ryan’s love of people drew him to the Medical Field. He earned a CNA certificate from DATC, Layton. He graduated from Weber State

University College of Nursing with his RN license. He gained valuable nursing experience at LDS Hospital, Salt Lake City. He was accepted to the University of Kansas and graduated with his Masters of Science in Nurse Anesthesia December 16, 2005.

Ryan worked a year for a Kansas City area hospital before he and Mindy returned to Utah and made their home in Pleasant Grove. Ryan was employed by the Lone Peak Anesthesia Group where he worked at the American Fork and Orem Community Hospitals.

Ryan is survived by a loving wife, Mindy and his children, Elizabeth and Lucas; his parents: George Dryer and Sondra Dryer.
