BOUNTIFUL — Two churches are hosting Vacation Bible Schools in upcoming weeks.

Westminster Church, at 796 S. Mountain Road in Fruit Heights, is hosting “Kingdom Rocks,” from June 17-21, from 5 to 8 p.m. daily, with a dinner served at 5 p.m.

At Kingdom Rock, children will participate in Bible-learning activities, sing songs, play teamwork-building games, make and enjoy treats, experience Bible adventures, collect Bible Memory Buddies to remind them to stand strong, and test out “Sciency-Fun Gizmos” that they’ll take home and play with throughout the summer.

Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God Sightings.

Each day concludes with Fanfare Finale — a celebration that gets the children involved in living what they have learned. Family members and friends are encouraged to join in daily at 7:30 p.m.

Kingdom Rock is for kids ages 3 to 12. For more information, call 801-546-0212.

At Cross of Christ Lutheran Church’s Vacation Bible School, the focus will be on the three major points of Jesus Chris’s life: his birth, death and resurrection.

The school will run Monday, June 24 through Wednesday, June 26, from 9-11:30 a.m. at the church 1840 S. 75 East.

It’s open to children under 10 and is free, but pre-registration is requested by calling 801-295-7677 or email

Kids will learn of Jesus’ life, death and resurrection through his word, songs, and crafts.  A snack will be provided.

The church will kick off the week with its annual service in the park at North Canyon Park in Bountiful at 10:30 a.m., followed by a potluck meal.
