SALT LAKE CITY — A 38-year-old Layton man pleaded guilty to robbing a Salt Lake City bank, and was sentenced to serve 66 months in federal prison.

Mark Allen Call admitted to robbing the Zions Bank at 1420 S. 300 West on Feb. 13, according to  Melodie Rydalch, spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorney’s Office of Utah.

In a plea agreement, prosecutors dismissed a second count of bank robbery alleging he had robbed the same bank the following day, Rydalch said.

In addition to the prison term, Call was ordered to pay $2,800 restitution for both bank robberies, Rydalch said, and to serve 36 months of supervised release once he is out of prison.
