Kaysville’s cleanup begins Monday, April 20 at 6 a.m. All material must be loadable by hand without the use of heavy equipment. Items should be bundled together or bagged.
Tree branches must be cut in lengths of 5 inches or less and must be tied together in tight bundles not to exceed 50 lbs.
Tree trims not tied in bundles will be rejected. Loose items such as leaves, weeds, grass and shrub trimmings need to be placed in bags or suitable disposable containers. All refuse must also weigh less than 50 lbs.
Among items not accepted are: construction material including wood, sheet rock and concrete; sod, soil, rocks, highly volatile material, asbestos, hazardous waste, refrigerators and lead products.
Clearfield’s spring cleanup will be April 30, May 1, 2, 7 and 9.
Residents can drop off acceptable items at the lot south of the Public Works Shops at 497 S. Main Street. The lot will be open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday-Saturday, April 30, May 1 and May 2, and May 7-May 9.
Residents must be able to unload their own loads. City employees will only be on site to monitor activities. A valid ID showing proof of Clearfield residency must be available.
Items that will not be accepted include tires, hazardous waste such as used oil, paint, solvents and other chemicals; electronics, such as TVs, microwaves, computers, etc.
Car batteries are acceptable but must be separated from other items to be placed on a pallet. A dumpster will be on site for disposal of metals.
Green waste should be separated from other waste. Green waste includes lawn trimmings, leaves, tree branches and limbs not to exceed 4 feet in length.
