SYRACUSE — Roadwork is underway on Antelope Drive (S.R. 108) In Syracuse and Layton, with completion anticipated in late August.
Roadway preservation work is moving forward from Main Street in Layton to 1000 West in Syracuse, said UDOT Region 1 spokesman Vic Saunders.
Crews have begun pothole repair on the bridge over the Union Pacific/UTA railroad lines, he said in a UDOT press release.
“Additionally, crews are removing and replacing sections of concrete in order to maintain the bridge surface,” he said.
The road will be reduced to one lane in each direction during nighttime hours Mondays-Saturdays. No work is expected to take place on July 24.
Nighttime work is planned to reduce impacts to the usually heavy traffic in the area, Saunders said. As a result, residents can expect an increase in nighttime noise, vibration and exterior light from construction activities and increased construction vehicles in the area.
