Barnes Bank to relocate SLC branch

DAVIS COUNTY — Barnes Banking Company, with several locations in the Davis County area, is moving its Salt Lake City branch.

Curtis H. Harris, CEO, chairman, and president of Barnes Banking Co., announced the relocation of the downtown Salt Lake City branch at 431 South 300 East to a new location at 490 East 500 South recently.

The bank will continue to serve customers at its current location through April 17 and will open the new location on April 20.

“We look forward to serving from our new location, which offers easy access for everyone, and provides an excellent neighborhood banking experience” said Harris.

Downtown Salt Lake branch manager, Andrew Adamson and his team have several years of experience providing loans and financial account management services to the people and businesses of Salt Lake City, which will continue at the new location.

“We have a loyal customer base in Salt Lake because we provide professional, personalized customer service. Barnes Bank is regarded as one of Utah’s premier community banks,” Adamson said. “We take pride in maintaining that positive reputation here in Salt Lake.”

Barnes Banking Co. was founded in Kaysville in 1891 and has 10 branches from South Ogden to St. George. The Salt Lake office first opened in 2001, and is one of two branches serving residents and businesses in Salt Lake. The other Salt Lake branch is located at 800 East Fort Union Boulevard.

Zions helping military with finances

DAVIS COUNTY — Zions bank is getting involved with the servicemen and women of Davis County.

As a courtesy to members of the armed forces, Zions Bank is waiving all ATM fees for deployed servicemen and women who use their Zions Bank cards at machines outside of the company’s ATM network.

This will assist clients who are deployed but cannot access a Zions Bank ATM.

To establish an ATM fee waiver, a deployed soldier or a family member can visit any Zions Bank location to show a copy of his/her orders.

Then, the bank will obtain the activation dates from the soldier and will make sure that all ATM fees are waived during the time of activation.

In addition, all Zions Bank ATM and debit cardholders have access to the MoneyPass surcharge-free ATM network of thousands of ATMs across the country.

This means clients can use their Zions Bank ATM or check card at all non-Zions locations which display the MoneyPass logo, and they won’t be charged a surcharge fee by that bank. Plus, Zions will also waive ATM transaction fees whenever a MoneyPass ATM is used.

For more information about the program or about Zions Bank, visit their website at www.zionsbank.com.
