Jake Gibb makes stop in Salt Lake City as part of AVP Tour

BOUNTIFUL – Bountiful native and two-time Olympic competitor Jake Gibb is coming back home.

The Bountiful High School and University of Utah alum will be at Liberty Park this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday as part of the AVP's (Association of Volleyball Professionals) opening tournament.

It is the first stop of the professional volleyball tour, and will from now until October, according to the AVP’s website.

Gibb’s wife, Jane, is also from Davis County. She grew up in Kaysville and attended Davis High School.

In the tournament, matches will be played all day on Friday and Saturday. The finals for both the men and women division will be played Sunday afternoon.
