CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Job Corps is inviting young women ages 16 through 24 to apply for its free, federal career training program.
The openings come after a four-month freeze in enrollment that was instituted as part of the federal sequestration program.
Intended for financially disadvantaged youth, the program lets students live on campus. While there, they can be trained for jobs in fields such as healthcare, computers, plumbing, welding, carpentry and more, according to a press release from the center.
Students at Job Corps also can earn a high school diploma or GED.
