WOODS CROSS – A quartet of planned road construction and maintenance projects will make driving a little more difficult starting today, Aug. 16.

The Utah Department of Transportation scheduled a trio of road construction projects in central and south Davis County cities. In North Salt Lake, crews will be taking pavement core samples from I-15 in Sunday, Aug. 18, between I-215 and 2600 South in Bountiful. Two inside lanes will be closed in both directions and work will take place between 8 p.m. and midnight.

In Layton, work will continue on a project to resurface SR-126 between Gentile Street in Layton and 200 North in Clearfield. Crews are removing and replacing old pavement, and will be working from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily from Aug. 16-22. For more information contact the project team at 800-292-3557 or email

In Clearfield, 200 South at 1550 West is closed for reconstruction of the intersection, and construction is set to take place from Aug. 16-22. Traffic on 200 South will detour on 1425 West to 25 North and 1600 West. Traffic on 1550 West will not be able to access 200 South.

A new section between Center Street and 1000 West is now open on SR-193. At 1000 West on SR-193, there will be a temporary three-way traffic stop for approximately six weeks as crews work on the west side traffic of the intersection. For more information, call 800-948-4002, email or visit
