Gaylen Sprague (at center in photo), manager at Bowman’s Market in Kaysville, presents a check for $2,988 to Mayor Steve Hiatt (third from left) and the Kaysville City Council, including (from left) Brett Garlick and Jared Taylor, and (right of Sprague) Ron Stephens, Mark Johnson and Gil Miller. The money was raised at the annual pancake breakfast held in conjunction with Pioneer Day, July 24. It is being donated to the city’s parks and recreation department, where it will fund scholarships for youth sports programs.
