LAYTON — A woman allegedly wanted by law enforcement agencies in three states has been booked into the Davis County Jail on outstanding warrants.

Jamie Cleghorn, 34, was wanted in Utah, Alabama and Wyoming for numerous frauds, forgeries and evading law enforcement in Wyoming, according to Layton Police.

A Layton detective was alerted to Cleghorn’s whereabouts on Monday at about 10:30 a.m., by an anonymous tip, according to a press release from the Layton Police Department.

Cleghorn was found concealed beneath a blanket, in the backseat of a passenger car allegedly driven by her husband, Adam Wheeler. Wheeler had been contacted regarding her whereabouts and allegedly knew that Cleghorn was a wanted fugitive, according to Layton Police Sgt. Alex Davis.

She was taken into police custody without incident and booked into the Davis County Jail.

Possible charges of obstruction of justice against Adam Wheeler will be referred to the Davis County Attorney’s Office for screening.
