From 9 a.m. to noon, Farmington Junior High School will be packed with families and officials. Residents will be able to get fingerprinting for child ID kits, information on 911, D.A.R.E., police dogs and Internet safety, as well as information about CERT courses. Fire prevention displays and demonstrations will be held to help citizens understand what happens in an emergency and what process to go through.
Farmington City’s Emergency preparedness and the Davis County Citizen Corps will talk about neighborhood watch and Medical Reserve Corps. The American Red Corss, Utah State University Extension Service, National Weather Service, Safe Harbor Women’s Shelter and the Family Connection Center will demonstrate what their services offer and how to help the community through those services. Other family activities that are a part of the fair include a rock-climbing wall, a mobile command center, AirMed and LifeFlight demonstrations.
The fair is part of the city’s goal to think ahead for major projects and possibilities.
