FARMINGTON —  Free classes for parents of children with disabilities will cover topics from health-care financing to employment opportunities.

The workshops are sponsored by the Utah Parent Center, but space is limited for many workshops so pre-registration is recommended, according to a press release.

The next class will be held Tuesday, Sept. 24, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Davis Professional Development Center (Kendell Building), 70 E. 100 North in Farmington. It will cover facts and myths about Medicaid and other healthcare programs.

On Thursday, Sept. 26, a class on guardianship for children who turn 18 will be held at the Vista Education Campus, 97 S. 200 East, Farmington. It runs from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

A two-day mini-conference on transitioning to employment is being offered Monday, Oct. 28 and Tuesday, Oct. 29, from 9 a.m. to 4 pm., at the Vista Campus.

For more information on additional classes and to register, visit utahparentcenter.org. or contact Roz Welch, 801-402-5120 or rozw@utahparentcenter.org.
