Geary, 25, allegedly shook 11-month-old Aliyah Wild, “to get her to stop crying,” according to charging documents filed last Wednesday. Geary then allegedly dropped the unconscious baby onto the bed.
The infant was take to the hospital where she was diagnosed with severe intracranial bleeding that caused swelling to her brain, police said in the charging documents.
Doctors performed emergency surgery to remove part of her skull to reduce pressure, but her condition deteriorated. She died Sept. 17.
Results of an autopsy showed Wild’s brain injuries were consistent with those of being shaken then dropped, the charging documents said.
