The Davis County Commission signed an agreement with the Salt Lake City firm. Meetings began last month.
The $207,500 contract covers a standard 6.25 percent of the proposed $3 million building cost, Library Director Chris Sanford said.
The library will be built on Kaysville’s Heritage Park site at about 200 N. 100 East. It will include three times the public space available in the current library.
Planning for the project began in June of 2012.
Bids will be let next spring and construction is set to start in the summer. A completion is set for June of 2015.
