Rain didn’t stop the party last Friday as about 1,500 people celebrated the 35th anniversary of Davis Applied Technology College’s opening. The event was moved from outside to inside but celebrating continued. The 50 cents per ticket fee went to support the student program USA Skills and the national HOSA (Health Occupation Student Association), a school spokesman said. The Kaysville-based college provides training to high school students and adults. It inaugurated a new charter school last month.
