LDSTech Conference slated

SALT LAKE CITY— The fourth annual LDSTech Conference is planned for Thursday and Friday, Oct. 17-18 at the University of Utah’s LDS Institute of Religion building, 1780 E. South Campus Drive.

The conference is free, but participants are asked to register prior to the event at Information will be available for participants of every skill level, according to a press release,

The conference begins at 8 a.m. both days and includes a free continental breakfast.

Keynoting the event  is Blaine Maxfield, managing director of the church’s Information Technology department at 9 a.m. on Thursday. David Warner, managing director of the church’s  priesthood department, will keynote Friday’s sessions.

Participants may attend presentations both Thursday and Friday morning, with lunch  at noon. Afternoons are reserved for networking, browsing the booths, working on projects and sharing ideas.

The list of applications and projects available for display, demonstration and to work on in the afternoons include applications, meetinghouse technologies, mobile apps and more.
