Teacher faces sex charges

KAYSVILLE – A Davis High School teacher has been booked into the Davis County Jail on suspicion of having sex with a student.

Brianne Altice, 34, was arrested Monday night, Oct. 28, following an investigation by Kaysville Police, according to Kaysville Police Lt. Paul Thompson.  The sexual activity allegedly occurred last year.

The victim, “who was 15 or 16” at the time of the relationship, provided information that led to a search of Altice’s residence in South Weber, Thompson said.

Altice was interviewed and evidence was collected with assistance from the Davis County Sheriff’s Office that allegedly corroborated the victim’s statement, Thompson said.

Charges of felony unlawful sexual activity with a  minor will be screened by the Davis County Attorney’s Office.

Altice is on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation, according to the Davis County School District.

She as hired by the district in October 2004 and has taught at Davis High School since August 2012.
