WOODS CROSS - Celebrate Christmas with a taste of country this year.
Jackson Hole favorites the Bar J. Wranglers are coming back to Davis County for their annual Christmas Concert, set for Dec. 7 at 7 p.m. at Woods Cross High School. The group, who has held a holiday concert at the high school for the last five years, are popular with local residents.
“A lot of people ask them to come back each year,” said Richard J. Watson, a member of the Bountiful Community Service Council and one of the concert’s organizers. “They have quite a following in south Davis.”
The group’s Christmas concert includes several holiday medleys, as well as country and western classics such as “Home on the Range” and “Rawhide.”
Representatives from the Bountiful Food Pantry will also be on hand to accept donations, a practice concert organizers started last year. At that concert, the group collected over $300.
Though food donations will also be accepted, the pantry is specifically looking for monetary donations.
“There’s a lot of food drives going on right now, but there’s always stuff that’s just never donated,” said Watson. “They have to go buy it, and that’s what the cash is for.”
General admission and reserve seating tickets are available at Bountiful City Hall. General admission tickets are also available at The American Cowboy and Winegars in Bountiful, and the Dick’s Market in both Bountiful and Centerville.
