CENTERVILLE – Christmas is supposed to be joyful. A fun time filled with gatherings of family and friends.
But for those who have suffered some kind of loss in their lives, putting on a happy face and acting like everything is fine is tough.
This year, The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, 1131 S. Main, in Centerville is holding a Blue Christmas Service on Dec. 11 at 7 p.m. during Advent for those who may be grieving going into the holidays.
The service is not just for those who have had a loved one die, it’s also for those who are struggling with the loss of a job, divorce or other broken relationships, said the Rev. Lyn Briggs, rector of the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection.
