FARMINGTON - It’s a chance for struggling Davis County families to have something to celebrate this Christmas.

The Frodshams are opening up their annual Christmas party to local families in need, though they still need tickets to attend the Dec. 21 event. Clergy and others are asked to call Barbara Frodsham before Saturday to arrange for tickets. “We don’t want people just showing up, but if you know of a struggling family please call,” said Frodsham.

The event, which the Frodshams have been holding for decades, provides clothes, hats, scarves, gloves, coats, toys and more for children and their familes. It also includes holiday activities such as carriage rides, roasting marshmallows, lunch and dessert, a visit from Santa and more.

Organizers are still seeking donations of blankets, gently used toys, coats, wrapped gifts and quilts.

All donations can be dropped off in the blue Deseret Industries bin located at 230 E. 1700 South in Farmington. Crock pots full of soup or stew would also be welcome.

Those can be dropped off before noon at the same address the day of Dec. 21. “Everyone’s going to be cold,” said Frodsham. To request tickets or arrange a donation, call 801-663-3588.
