BOUNTIFUL – As the Christmas and New Year’s moratorium draws near, the number of boys’ and girls’ basketball games being played is getting slimmer.

Prior to the hiatus, a few ranked teams will hit the floor Tuesday night as the Woods Cross boys and Viewmont girls teams get set to face off against Timpanogos and Springville, respectively.

The Davis High School and Woods Cross High School girls’ teams will also play Tuesday night, taking on Roy and Olympus, respectively.

The Wildcats’ boys’ team, winners of four their first five games to open the season, are currently ranked 15th in the state as they travel to Timpanogos High School.

Timpanogos is 2-2 on the season.

The Lady Vikings, now ranked fourth in the state, will be at home to face the Red Devils, who are 2-3 and ranked 12th in the state.

Tip off for both games is 7 p.m.

The 18th-ranked Lady Darts will go up against Roy at home. Woods Cross, still in search of its first win of the season, will travel to Olympus High School to face the Titans.

Tip off for Davis and Woods Cross is 5:15 p.m.
