County schools make top ratings

DAVIS COUNTY — Davis, Viewmont and Woods Cross High Schools made it on the top 12 ranking list KSL creates to foster academic competition and to provide information to parents.

Davis High School was ranked second in the top 10, with a special focus on advanced placement classes and the highest ranking in the state on language arts proficiency. The school is reported as having just more than 2,400 students.

In fourth place of the top 10 was Viewmont High School with a statewide ranking as the fifth highest in science proficiency. The school is reported as having 1,700 students.

Woods Cross High School made it into eighth place with second place in the district in math proficiency and 1,368 students.
