Clearfield teen falls from moving pickup truck

CLEARFIELD - Police say a 16-year-old girl fell from the back of a moving pickup truck in Clearfield Monday afternoon.

The girl was sitting on the edge of the truck bed when the driver turned a corner, throwing her onto the pavement where she sustained head injuries, police said.

Police said the truck was driven by another teen girl when the incident took place. A third girl was also riding in the back of the truck.

The injury took place along 2300 South and 150 West at 2:30, just after classes ended at Clearfield, where all three girls are students, police say.

The girl was flown by medical helicopter to the University of Utah Medical Center, where her condition as not known.
