FARMINGTON - A Jan. 31 preliminary hearing has been set for a Davis High School teacher accused of rape after she allegedly had sexual relations with a then-16-year-old student.

Brianne Land Altice, 31, was in 2nd District Court last week, where she was charged with three counts of first-degree felony rape.

Court documents allege Altice had sexual intercourse with the student, now 17, on at least three occasions between January and September of 2013.

She has been on paid administrative leave from her teaching job since her arrest in October.

She was hired by the Davis School District in 2004 and has been teaching at Davis High School since 2012.
