LAYTON - A 22-year-old woman was killed after being hit by a man driving a pick-up truck on Antelope Drive Tuesday morning.

Layton Police said the woman was walking south near the crosswalk when she was hit and thrown about 50 feet.

Police say eastbound traffic had a green light when the woman was crossing Antelope Drive at around 6:30 a.m. and was hit by a Ford F-150 pick up truck.

Investigators also said the woman may have been hit by a second eastbound vehicle after the initial impact.

Police said there was no indication the driver of the truck was impaired at the time of the crash.

Police say the pick up truck driver is 38-year-old Syracuse man.

The woman, later identified as 22-year-old Jessica Jones of Layton was taken to nearby Davis Hospital and Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead.

The crash is still under investigation.
