Letters: E-cigarettes not same as tobacco

Dear Editor,

This is ridiculous. The vapor ciggies are legal. People are using them instead of tobacco.

There is no harmful vapor, no one getting smoke in their face, no one dying from second-hand smoke...not to mention those trying to quit are using these instead of cigarettes...seems like a win-win to me.

As a community there are so many benefits to these e-cigarettes vs. the nasty old tobacco addiction. I am completely dumbfounded at people’s stupidity.

So what if people are hooked on nicotine. Who cares. It’s not terribly harmful.

Driving while talking on a cell phone is dangerous, but will never be stopped. Our air is dangerous but nothing is done. Smoking an e-cigarette is not dangerous, yet they will run perfectly good, legal businesses into bankruptcy.

Restrict the age to purchase, just like alcohol. Then leave it alone.
