The lanes are being closed so Utah Department of Transportation crews can make repairs to the bridge at 500 South, where small amounts of concrete and rebar fell Monday afternoon.
Utah Department of Transportation spokesperson Vic Saunders said the concrete flaking or "spalling" has not weakened the structural integrity of the bridge.
