Zions Bank offers budgeting class

CENTERVILLE – A free budgeting class is being offered at four Davis County locations as part of Utah Saves Week.

Zions Bank will hold the classes at 7 p.m. Feb. 25 at its Centerville Financial Center, 440 W. Parrish Lane.

Other classes and locations are: Feb. 23, The Bridge Community, 260 E. Pages Lane, Centerville, 7 p.m.; Feb. 27, First Southern Baptist Church, 696 N. 400 East, Bountiful, 7 p.m., and Utah Connections Academy, 596 W. 750 South, Woods Cross, 6:30 p.m.

Topics to be discussed include understanding budgeting, developing a spending plan that works and budgeting tools including spreadsheets and websites.

“The first step to saving is learning how to spend responsibly,” said Don Milne, the bank’s Financial Literacy Manager. 

Utah Saves Week is part of a nationwide effort among non-profit government and corporate groups to encourage and support low to moderate income households to save and build personal wealth.
