LAYTON – Students from Mountain Heights Academy shared their interest in reading with students much younger, as they celebrated National Reading Month earlier this year.

Layton Christian Academy was one of six schools Davis and Salt Lake counties visited by the students, who range in age from seventh to twelfth grades.

More than reading together, academy students and their leaders donated iPods loaded with reading apps as part of a statewide effort to benefit communities through technology.

MHA is a tuition-free online public charter school, according to a press release. Personalized instruction and “unparalleled teacher interaction” are focuses of the academy, in addition to utilizing the latest technology.
