HILL AFB - The commute will be a little easier for those working at Hill AFB beginning April 14 as two bus routes connecting the base with FrontRunner’s Clearfield station begin service.

Bus routes 664 and 665 will travel between the Clearfield station and the base’s west and south gates during peak commuting hours between 5 and 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 and 5:30 p.m. The routes will accommodate FrontRunner passengers and those who use the Clearfield station park and ride lot.

Providing bus service to the base will give more than 20,000 military personnel and civilian base employees who live off-base a convenient transportation option, said UTA General Maager Michael Allgra.

“The men and women at Hill Air Force Base are doing important work, and we’re proud to make it a little easier for them to get to and from their jobs,” he said.

The new routes will make stops throughout Clearfield. Riders without access to the base will have to depart before the buses enter it.
