KAYSVILLE - Scouts can choose between 18 merit badges being taught at the Davis Applied Technology College PowWow scheduled for Friday and Saturday, May 16 and 17.
Costs run between $25 and $40 per scout, depending on the merit badge or badges, and $10 for adults. Food and supplies are included in the cost.
Scout troops must have two leaders in order to attend, or individual scouts must have a parent with them in order to register, according to a release.
The event runs from 4 to 9 p.m. on Friday, May 16, and from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 17.
Scout troops can also participate in an optional campout.
Time will allow for the completion of one or two merit badges in areas such as automotive, composite materials, computers, cooking, crime prevention/fingerprinting, dentistry, drafting, electricity, electronics, entrepreneurship, First Aid, geocaching, graphic arts, photography and more.
Some merit badges will take four hours to complete, others can be finished in two hours. Only 230 seats are available.
