BOUNTIFUL - Sahara Construction has made some changes to its ownership, while its founder will still be on board in a new capacity.

Tom Mabey, who founded the Bountiful-based firm, is moving from the role of president to chairman of the board, a press release from the company said.

Clegg Mabey is now president/CEO and Melissa Wallentine is senior vice president/COO.

Clegg Mabey has been operating as senior vice president/COO and Wallentine as vice president of business development. As joint owners, the duo will oversee operations and the future direction for the firm.

“We have many exciting projects and we’re fortunate to be able to partner with visionary individuals and companies,” Tom Mabey said. “I see nothing but a bright future ahead.”

Other changes include Carl Schrank named as project executive, Brigham Latimer as director of business development and Don Parker, chief estimator/project executive.

Based in Davis County since 1985, Sahara has provided professional design/build and construction management services.
