FARMINGTON - Teachers and administrators serving Davis School District students have been recognized for a variety of accomplishments from a wide range of organizations, according to information provided by the district.
Jacqueline Thompson, educational equity director, received the 2014 Distinguished Woman Award from the American Association of University Women.
Belinda Kuck, assistant curriculum director and library/media specialist, who was named Utah Educational Library Media Association Administrator of the Year.
Steve “Stan" Martin, library media teacher at Farmington Jr. High, was named Library Media Teacher of the Year, also by UELMA.
Lisa Aragno, an English teacher at Northridge High, was named Teacher of the Year by Latino's In Action.
Barbara Progress, a science teacher at North Davis Junior High, was accepted to participate in an all-expense paid, week-long trip to Science Camp in Huntsville, Ala.
Loren Clark, principal at Cook Elementary, was named Elementary Innovator Principal of the Year for the state of Utah, by the Utah Association of Elementary School Principals. Earlier this month, students at Cook presented him with a booklet detailing what they appreciate about him.
