CENTERVILLE - A little rain – or even a lot of rain – didn’t keep runners from enjoying Centerville’s mountainside trails on a cold, wet Saturday.

Runners could choose between a 5k or a 10k, and about 40 participated. “We have a trails committee that’s passionate and energetic and loves what they’re doing,” said Steve Thacker, city manager, who took on the 5k.

“It’s wonderful to see so many people out enjoying the mountainside in spite of the weather,” said Mayor Paul Cutler, also a 5k runner.

He also complimented the trails committee for encouraging active participation and healthy lifestyles.
