SALT LAKE CITY - Police say a 14-year-old Clearfield boy who has been missing from the This is the Place State Park since Wednesday evening has been found safe.

Police say Steven Smith was visiting This Is The Place Heritage Park, 2601 E. Sunnyside Ave. (approx. 900 South), with his family when he wandered off at approximately 5:30 p.m.

According to police, Steven was found safe and in relatively good condition in the back yard of a home in the high Avenues area later Thursday morning.  

After being checked by EMTs, Davis was reunited with his worried mother. 

Smith attends Legacy Junior High in Layton.
