Letter: Do drivers show no courtesy?

Dear Editor,

I moved to North Salt Lake about a year ago from Bountiful. I have noticed many traffic problems in driving along Redwood Road north at 2600 South to the 5th South road going east to Bountiful.

The problems are vehicles driving much faster than the speed limit, tailgating very closely and not signaling intention when changing lanes.

This problem is very common. And on a daily, ongoing basis, it seems there is no (zero) law enforcement and few courtesies shown by drivers.

Is it OK to break the laws when the police aren’t watching or enforcing the law or you are in a hurry?!!

I am wondering if I am missing something about what traffic laws and common courtesy mean?

Sincerely,

Brent Plowman

North Salt Lake
